The 2017 Moravian College Writers’ Conference: Writing and Sustainability

What: Writers conference
When: February 3 – 4, 2017
Where: Main Street Campus, Haupert Union Building., 1200 Main Street, Bethlehem PA

Why:  Energize your writing, work with professional faculty, and connect with other writers with workshops of 15 members or fewer and craft talks on the theme of writing & sustainability. At this writers conference, also  take part in the faculty roundtable, faculty readings and book signings. Writers of all genres and career stages are welcome.

Alison Hawthorne Deming

About keynote speaker Alison Hawthorne Deming:

Alison Hawthorne Deming’s most recent nonfiction book is Zoologies: On Animals and the Human Spirit. Recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, she has authored three additional nonfiction books and five poetry books with Stairway to Heaven and Death Valley: Painted Light, in collaboration with astronomer/ photographer Stephen Strom.

Her first book Science and Other Poems won the Walt Whitman Award of the Academy of American Poets. She has received a number of other accolades, as well.
